Multicultural Meet & Eat Group
Every Tuesday 12:30-1:30pm at Sunrise
Drop-in multicultural and multilingual social group to meet others, chat and have lunch!
We will provide tea, coffee, soup and bread free of charge. You are also welcome to bring your own lunch if you prefer, and any activities, crafts or games you would like to share.
Sunrise Diversity provide services to marginalised communities living in Northern Devon with a range of diverse identities. The people we work with are often migrants, refugees, asylum seekers, or individuals with no recourse to public funds (NRPF) from all over the world.

I like this because I meet other people from other countries and we exchange experiences. I have made friends with other people that go to Sunrise.
The group is very supportive, mainly ladies, we can feel a bit lonely so we really want to find a place where we can share about our country and learn new things. I think Sunrise, it is like a bridge that can help connect people. It can be difficult to settle into a new place, Sunrise has a good atmosphere. It’s a lovely place where you can share your culture and meet others who are also new to the area. It feels very homely...

LGBTQ+ Group
We organise a monthly social LGBTQ+ group. It’s an opportunity to meet others and be yourself. Topics we discuss can be movies, books, music, self care and LGBTQ+ related topics. Sunrise staff and volunteers are on hand for support and signposting.
