Social Group & Support
We organise regular LGBTQ+ groups. It’s an opportunity to meet others and be yourself. Topics we discuss can be movies, books, music, self care and LGBTQ+ related topics. Sunrise staff and volunteers are on hand for support and signposting. If you are interested in attending, email us at [email protected] for up to date details.
Our social groups are fun and welcoming, but we understand that attending for the first time can be difficult. We are here to make it as easy as possible for you. Send us an email [email protected] and a member of our team will get in touch to see what we can do to help.

Pride
In 2018, Sunrise hosted the first LGBTQ+ Pride March in Barnstaple, a historic moment where the community joined together and marched in protest, pride and solidarity. We have continued to host Pride yearly, and throughout the pandemic did so virtually, as well as socially distant in-person virtual pride demonstrations. You can see the videos below.
