Services
We provide free, confidential support for adults (18+) in North Devon and Torridge, with a focus on those who are ethnically diverse, migrants (EU and non-EU), refugees, asylum seekers, or from LGBTQ+ communities.
We also proactively run outdoor and indoor events throughout the year, as well as teaching English lessons, hosting meet and greet groups for specific communities such as LGBTQ+. We are a safe and confidential place where you can be heard and supported.
You may need our support if you struggle with language barriers, find UK systems confusing, face financial hardship, feel isolated, suffer health issues or addiction, experience abuse or discrimination, or have been a victim of crime.
Whatever your needs are, we’re here to help you move forward.
We offer English lessons in North Devon for people who are new to the language. Our friendly teachers help students gain confidence, speak more fluently, and improve reading and writing skills.

Our Meet and Connect services help you find welcoming spaces where you can be yourself and meet others who share your interests.
Whether you join a casual morning group, attend a workshop, or enjoy a themed event, it’s all about making connections and being supported.
We organise regular LGBTQ+ groups. It’s an opportunity to meet others and be yourself. Topics we discuss can be movies, books, music, self care and LGBTQ+ related topics.
Sunrise staff and volunteers are always on hand for support and signposting.
We offer a range of workshops and training sessions, delivered by practitioners who work directly with diverse communities.
Designed for both professionals and the wider public, our engaging and practical sessions can be tailored to your needs.
Pricing varies, with free or reduced rates available for partners supporting local communities.
